AT THE CROSS, AT THE CROSS WHERE I FIRST SAW THE LIGHT

And the burden of my heart rolled away, it was there by faith I received my sight—so now I am happy all the day.   So is all the above still true in your life?   Or is it easy to allow everyday occurrences  make us take on the burdens ourselves?

When we walk ahead of His power, and allow our decisions to over-ride His plans, then we really can push aside that great light we first ran to on the way to the cross.

We just celebrated the greatest miracle----the resurrection of our Savior Jesus. His most amazing love beckons us to a place where we can leave all the hurts, pains, disappointments and other burdens at His feet. He knows we want to, but in the busyness of our lives—it seems sometimes quicker to just go ahead with our ways, and not take the time to pray for His guidance.

Why are we in such a hurry for the answers? ( Now I am really talking to myself!!) Is it because there are prayers we have prayed for a very long time with seemingly on answer on the way? Do you ever think our Father just might get tired of hearing the same plea over and over?

So in this thought---could this be a valley we walk into that might lead us away from that faith that covers our heart so beautifully? Temptations run into us, choices approach that—in our wildest thoughts—we never knew we could make become a reality.

Then once those choices are made---could it be we think God just turns His head until we get ready to run back to the most safe place in the world? But you do know-----He is still watching, and pulling out all the stops to make sure you don’t forget that place.

Is it because we just stopped trusting God? Is it that we don’t remember how many areas in our journey where He came running with answers we could not imagine, and rescued us with a kindness we did not know existed?  When you decide one day—and you will—it’s time to go back to allowing Him to roll away those burdens----He’s right there.

And by the way—I don’t think He tires of those pleas—Matthew 7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given you: keep on seeking and you will find: keep on knocking (reverently) and the door will be opened to you. 8. For every one who keeps on asking receives: and he who keeps on knocking,
the door will be opened.

You just remember---there is no Love like His. No place like that cross---your place!

Many Blessings,
Peggy Potts
