I Intentionally Took a Nap!

"By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work."  Genesis 2:2

Recently, I did something that I usually don't do:  I intentionally took a nap!  Yes, I felt better when I woke up.  Many of us are desperately trying to turn a 24 hour day into a 30 hour day.

We sacrifice ourselves in order to do all the things we believe are important.  Genesis 2:2 states, "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work."

God didn't rest because God was tired.  God does not get tired, but we do.  We are created by an all-powerful God, which naturally makes us not all-powerful.  So look at your "to do" lists for the rest of this week.  There is something there that "absolutely has to be done" that can wait until you've had a nap.

I know this one is very short, but it doesn't have to be long because you need some "me time."  You deserve it.  Rest - it's good for you and good to you.
