With the Putnam County School System looking $1,000,000.00 of debt in the eye, Director of Schools, Dr. Kathleen Airhart, is recommending strong, decisive action.

Terry Randolph, Supervisor of Transportation, presents a case for wiping out approximately $500,000 of that million dollar debt.

Even though there might be an adjustment required both for teachers, schools, bus routes, and families, thanks to state and federal funds, not only can the before and after school programs beef up, but they will improve academics, learning, socialization, and, best of all, be free to Putnam County residents.
