Avery Trace Students Raise Money For Jere Whitson Playground

There’s an old saying that goes, “There’s just no substitute for a good idea.”

And Avery Trace Middle School can come up with some doozies.

This Wednesday and Thursday, the two last full days of school, someone came up with the idea to have the students do half-court basket ball shots, for the small fee of a dollar.

If they made the shot, they got their dollar back (if they really wanted it) and if they missed, the buck went towards the Jere Whitson Play Ground Fund.

How fun is that?

This program was a smash hit, and even if the students were sitting in the stand not participating they had fun cheering their friends on.

Thanks Avery Trace—you rock.
