“I think he [Obama] needs to visit Tennessee, folks.” Says Gen. Evans, in a speech at the Cookeville Tea Party on the courthouse square last Saturday.

According to Evans, Obama’s unemployement predictions don’t square with Tennessee reality.

General Dave Evans, (Ret.) questioned how much of Obama’s stimulus package is reaching Tennessee… especially questioning it’s helpfulness in the Cookeville area and surrounding communities.

Several surrounding counties are already at a 14.3% unemployment rate where as the stimulus package was promised to keep it under 8%.

To date, the Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, TN has yet to be awarded any more business in spite of its excellent production records and quality construction. Instead, all of the work is being moved north to the Detroit area.

General Evans concludes that the stimulus package isn’t working.
