Tennessee Central Express--Game Saturday

Tools

By Ward Norris

The Tennessee Central Express, the Highland’s own minor league football team, has no field to call home.

So Monday night they practiced at Cornerstone Middle School’s practice field in Baxter—until dark at which point they had to leave for lack of light.

Minor league football differs from minor league baseball in that none of the football players ever expect to go pro.

That wave has long passed them over.

The guys simply play for love of the game.

Coach Ken Hall tells a little about the team and the players.

The most important "muscle" that the coaches look for is heart.

The Tennessee Central Express is champing to go for their next game Saturday night at the Livingston Academy.

They’ll be playing the Tennessee Crush.

The game is at 7:00 P.M. and is $7.00 for tickets.

He is looking for an open field to use for practices, if anyone knows of one.
