"It's simply pure musical fun with an old friend," enthused one who got a sneak-preview in one of the final dress rehearsals.
Music and dance talent abounds in this production, as well as rich backdrops, and the energy level is just out the wazoo.
Do you remember:
"You've got Trouble,
Right here in River City.
Trouble with a capital "T"
And that rhymes with "P" and that stands for pool!"
"..Pick-a-little, talk-a-little, pick-a-little, talk-a-little, cheep cheep cheep, talk a lot pick a little more."
"... Mariane.... madame librarian..."
"...76 trombones lead the big parade..."
This production, under the able direction of Kim Frick-Welker, radiates summer fun; from one end to the other.
The costumes are true vintage down to the finest detail, the set extravagant and the vocals exceptional.
And that was just the rehearsal. A full review will be posted after opening night.
