Cookeville Performing Arts Center Dedicated

By Ward Norris

Anyone who's been stopped at the light at Broad and Walnut has probably noticed all the construction going on at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center (formerly known as the Cookeville Drama Center).

Besides just freshening the front, the construction also shored up the foundations making the whole front area much stronger for years of continued future use.

Rick Woods, Cookeville Director of Leisure Services, served as master of ceremonies in the re-dedication of the building, and, of course, a ribbon was cut.

Woods encouraged everyone to come out to the premier show of the newly renamed center, "The Music Man."
