Mommies love pig tails for their little girls.  Most of us gals sported them at one time or another growing up. 

It was cute, clean and easy.  It was cool in the summer and just a little sassy and fun.

This summer's hottest hair trend, say the fashionistas in the know, is none other than the simple Pigtail. 

Celebrities are sporting them, hair style magazines are featuring them and they can be seen on confident women about town. 

Maybe it's the recession and this is the only hot trend that we could afford this summer.  Maybe it's that we're really busy and needed something that was fun and sexy at the same time.  Whatever the reason, Pigtails are the rage for 2009.

Admit it, Pigtails are a bit of an enigma.  Is she wearing them to be cute or to be sexy?  Is she a good girl or a little naughty pretending innocence? 

Pigtails are an attention getter, and the more mature the woman wearing pigtails, the more attention those pigtails get.

On an adult female pigtails say 'confidence' -- this is a lady who is outgoing, bold and original.  

On a child, pigtails say 'fresh and fun' -- this is a little girl ready to romp and play.
