Tennessee Tech University oboist Bill Woodworth presents his annual faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, in the Wattenbarger Auditorium of the Bryan Fine Arts Building on the Tech campus.

Pianist Young Kim, a TTU alumnae and current doctor of musical arts student at Louisiana State University, will accompany Woodworth.

This diverse program will consist of some of the finest solo literature for the oboe and English horn. The five compositions cover every musical era from the Baroque to the 20th century. Noted composers include Telemann, Saint Saëns, Poulenc, Ravel and Verroust.

“This program offers a lot of variety and I am sure that everyone will enjoy something on the program,” Woodworth said. “Also, many people will enjoy the Ravel composition featuring the dark, rich timbre of the English horn.”

Admission to the recital is free.
