Cookeville, TN January 28, 2010- Mastersingers, the Upper Cumberland’s premier community chorus, is preparing to warm the air with music and song with their mid-winter concert.
“This concert will be a wonderful collection of chorus pieces, solos and duets,” said Dr. Craig Zamer, Mastersingers Director and Director of Music at TTU. “We’re excited to bring this region something a little different for our mid-winter concert.”
The concert will be titled “Gershwin in Review” and will be performed on the evening of February 27th at 7:30pm in the Bryan Fine Arts Building on the campus of Tennessee Tech.
There is an admission fee of $10.00. “In the past, Mastersingers has hosted a fundraising concert around this time of year, “said Zamer, “We have discovered that by charging a small admission fee to all of our concerts, we
can do away with the large ticket price for this concert, therefore making it more accessible for the public.”
Mastersingers is a community chorus consisting of approximately 70 members of all ages from all around the Upper Cumberland. They have been brining song to the Upper Cumberland region for over 30 years. There is no audition to join Mastersingers. Mastersingers rehearse on
the campus of TTU in the Bryan Fine Arts building on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm in Room 100. For more information on Mastersingers, contact President Mike Vitti at capvee@mail.com or 931-761-8484.
