Putnam County Habitat for Humanity Has Great Turnout

By Ward Norris

According to Putnam County Habitat for Humanity's Executive Director, Pam Ealey, the recent Home and Garden Show and Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cookoff were very successful. Some $30,000 was raised to continue the effort of providing affordable housing to families in need.

Ms. Ealey said that the PCHFH will complete it's 50th home in Putnam County some time this year. The organization is trying to arrange that the 50th home built have some form of sweat equity from each of the first 49 home recipients.

She also wants to remind the public of the Re-store that sells both used and new items. They have some really grand specials right now on hanging light fixtures. She is very encouraged by the outpouring of community support all the way around for this very worth cause and welcomes everyone to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.
