One of the newest area restaurants in the Cookeville area is the Mandarin Palace (click here to go to their website) which has transformed the "old Ryan's building" into something special.

The array of choices is staggering, particularly for seafood lovers in this land-locked state.

You can choose and watch your food being prepared on the grill, choose from a wide variety of sushi, or enjoy the bounty of seven buffets with 10 to 14 pans in each.  With 437 parking spaces there is a spot for all, conveniently located to the building.   Two “break-off” rooms are also available as an excellent meeting venue.

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the food bars and floors and the apparent freshness of the buffet food.

Cleanliness, good flavor, and excellent presentations are clearly priorities to the staff of Mandarin Palace.

The décor, cuisine, and use of color present a relaxed energy conducive to good conversation suitable to the hurried guest or the guest who wishes to linger long over the meal.   Despite the array of buffet choices, most guests seem to gravitate at least once to the back, where they choose their plate and watch it prepared on the grill.

The foyer sets the tone with the chandelier over the water fall -- clean, comfortable and welcoming and our overall experience was excellent.

One can make healthy choices here in alignment to one's diet or completely indulge a large appetite.   The choices are yours, and they taste great.
