MARCH MADNESS SHOOT-OUT AT SMALL BUSINESS EXPO
(Cover Photo: James Dial, Blood Assurance) The Cookeville-Putnam County Chamber of Commerce will host a Small Business Expo for its members on Thursday, March 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre in Cookeville. There will also be a basketball shoot-out in honor of the March Madness basketball season. The Chamber’s Business After Hours will also take place that evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served until 7 p.m. when the Chamber’s basketball shoot-out begins.
“Everyone needs to brush-up on their hoops because prizes and trophies will be given away to the top winners,” said Ellene Duncan, vice president of special projects for the Chamber.
The Small Business Expo is geared toward small businesses and allows them to showcase their products and services.
“This is where contacts and contracts are made,” Duncan said. “It’s an opportunity for businesses to get in front of 500 of their peers, and show what they have to offer.”
Each exhibitor at the Expo will receive two free reservations for Business After Hours per paid table. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to give away door prizes as a promotion tool.
