Jace Sparkman is excited.  "With the introduction of Roland Advertising's Facebook page, in just this week, the "Day on the Digital" Billboard Challenge has added over 500 friends."

Jace Sparkman, regional sales manager of Roland Advertising, came up with a promotional idea to offer a chance for a free day on one of Roland's new digital displays.  Owner Dave Roland says he's both pleased and surprised at the response,  "It's just amazed me how many people have entered the contest, and I'm starting to put together how powerful these tools are when we use them together."

Roland is speaking of Facebook and the Digital Billboards and the way in which boards can easily be captured and almost instantly shared with all of the friends of that business.   He's also speaking of the response to the challenge and contest that has been going on this week.  "People like contests -- they enjoy the opportunity to win.  I know I do.  It's fun, and at the same time gives them something of value."

Roland sales manager Jace says  "All that is necessary to enter is to suggest one or more of your Facebook friends to "like" the new Roland page.   We are continually learning and implementing new ways to integrate the latest technology to promote our advertisers in the Upper Cumberland region."

Jace continued "Our first entry invited over 500 friends followed by another with over 1700 friends, however, the winner will not be judged by the number of suggestions or friends added, but by a completely random drawing.   Roland Advertising plans on many different types of contests and promotions, which combine the latest technology with their digital displays in the coming months."
