With UCHRA’s Cookeville Area Transit System just a few weeks from kick-off, it seems that there is no better time to let the public know what is happening.
There have been numerous press releases and rumors of public transit coming to Cookeville over the past several months and with the help of advertising UCHRA is ready for the public to know this is real.
Dave Roland of Roland Advertising helped make advertising CATS easier by donating space on the Roland Digital Display on Jefferson Avenue.
This billboard is one of the newest additions to Jefferson. Catching the eye of almost every person that passes by. It is estimated that it reaches an audience of approximately 24,000 vehicles each day.
UCHRA is hoping that this amount of exposure, along with the bus stop signs that are already in place, will give the community the push it needs to ask questions and get familiar with CATS before the kick-off date.
“We would like to thank Roland Advertising for such a generous donation of ad space for UCHRA’s Cookeville Area Transit System. This gives us the opportunity to inform residents of Putnam County about our new bus system,” Phyllis Bennett, UCHRA Executive Director said.
CATS will begin customer service on February 6, while the week prior the buses will be driving around town for training and to familiarize the community with the bus appearance.
“We have two routes, the Green Route and the Purple Route, that will take passengers to designated stops in the Cookeville area throughout the day and on weekends. To find out more information on CATS routes, schedules and fares log on to www.uchra.com/cats,” Rebecca Harris, UCHRA Transportation Director said.
People can get additional information on CATS by calling 931-372-8000 or visiting the website, www.uchra.com/cats.
