Turned herself in after being advised that a criminal court indictment was being held on her for leaving the scene of an accident. Booked into PCSO and held on $500 bond. |


SCAM ALERT: On 6/22/09 Deputy Steven Elrod took a report of theft by scam. A man and woman who identified themselves as Glen Stamper and Tara Stewart came to a residence and offered to seal the driveway. According to the report, a price of $250 was agreed upon for the service.
Mr. Stamper reportedly asked for $50 in advance for materials, which was given to him in cash. The resident stated that Mr. Stamper and Ms. Stewart returned asking for $100 more for materials. The resident wrote a check for the amount to Tara Stewart which was cashed by her the same day. The resident stated that Ms. Stewart's thumb print was captured by the bank when the check was cahsed.
The resident stated that the two have not returned to do any work on the driveway and tha tMr. Stamper did seal his driveway approximately 4 years ago. The alleged scammers reportedly drove an early 1990's, light tan, Chevy or GMC 1500.
