Here is the shift summaries for Friday and Sunday. Sorry there is no Saturday report.

Friday first shift.

Friday was slow with only 27 CAD entries and four reports.

Friday second shift.

The shift was unevenly busy. CAD listed 37 events. Officers made three arrests, filed four incident reports and four crash reports. The most noteworthy event of the shift is as follows. Ofc Herrick filed a report after the victim of a fraud came to the station to report that he suffered a loss of $350 in a scam. He was contacted by a company wanting him to advertise his business on new menus that were being produced for Nick’s Restaurant. He never received any notification from the company after he sent in his money and contacted Nick’s. They told him that they didn’t have anyone making a menu for them.

Friday third shift.

Third Shift officers responded to 28 CAD entries: 6 adult custodial arrests, 1 incident report, 1 crash report, and 1 citation in lieu of continued custody.
Officer Moore, who was working safe streets, pursued a vehicle west on Gainesboro Grade. It was terminated near the county line and the vehicle continued on into Jackson County. Later in the night, Deputy Brian Cook contacted me and said he found the car in a driveway on Shepardsville Road. Jackson County Sheriffs Office had it towed with hold placed on it until the driver contacted Officer Moore. Officer McCurry stopped a car at 2020 N. Willow and arrested the driver on an outstanding capias. He also worked a domestic between a father and stepson on N. Chestnut apt. He arrested both of them. Officer Melton responded to Freeze and Denton after a car ran off the road. He arrested the driver for DUI. He also responded to a suspicious person at 345 S. Elm. An extremely intoxicated young man was walking around looking for his house which was actually on Ellis. Like I said, he was really drunk. Officer Ferguson responded to the Jet at 942 E. 10th Street regarding a vehicle that had run into a ditch. He arrested the driver for DUI and resisting. Officer deClaire responded to the Clarion Inn regarding an assault. The “victim”, who said he was assaulted by two people, had also been a passenger in a car that ran off a hill and struck a concrete wall in the parking lot. The driver left the scene so Officer deClaire had it towed with a hold placed on it.

Sunday first shift.

The cad system showed 21 calls for service. Officer Langford took a gas drive off from 850 W Jackson St. Officer Green took a vandalism report on E 10th St. Officer Green made an arrest in lieu of citation Officer Franklin took a vandalism report at XXX E 14th St. Officer Stout made an arrest in lieu of citation. There were no other outstanding incidents on a cold Super Bowl Sunday.

Sunday second shift.

2nd Shift Officers answered 32 calls for service according to CAD. Officers took 8 incident reports, made 4 arrests, 2 non-custodial arrests, and worked 1 accident. Ofc. Tayes went to the Highland 12 parking lot at 1181 S Jefferson Ave and took a Burglary of a vehicle report on a black 2004 Chevy Tahoe after someone smashed her window and stole her purse. CID was notified. Ofc. Harrington went to the Bowling World parking lot at 545 neal St. and took a Burglary of a vehicle report on a 2000 Chevy Tahoe after someone smashed her window and stole her purse. Ofc. Ward conducted an investigation in the parking lot of Sears at 377 W. Jackson St. and wound up arresting adult/male for possession of drugs for resale. He seized $2,470 in cash, 20 narcotics pills, and a cell phone with information regarding drug sales.

Sunday second shift

We had 18 entries in cad which resulted in three arrests. While working over on third shift officer A. Lintz stopped a vehicle at 4th and Buck. The driver was arrested for DUI 4th, DOR, implied consent and exhibition driving.
While working over on third shift Officer Moore made a traffic stop on 7th Street at TTU. The driver had an existing warrant at Putnam County Sheriff's Office. She was transported to jail. Officer deClaire made an investigation at the Knights Inn room 151. He cited adult/male for possession of drug paraphernalia. There was also a female and a small child in the room where the needles {paraphernalia} was found.
