Friday first shift

The cad system showed 25 calls for service. Officers answered two residential burglaries and one burglary of a business. Officers Hall & Franklin arrested adult/male at XXX Chestnut Ave. on warrants out of Indiana.

Friday second shift

The shift was fairly quiet. CAD listed 41 events. Officers made three arrests, filed three incident reports and two crash reports. At the time of this report, officers were in the area of 7th and Willow trying to locate adult/male who had fled on foot from Ofc. J Ward.

Friday third shift

Third Shift officers responded to 29 CAD entries: 2 adult custodial arrests, 1 accident report, and 1 incident report. There were no calls of interest.

Saturday first shift

There were 23 calls for service on the cad printout.

Officers worked three traffic crashes. There were no other outstanding incidents to report.

Saturday second shift

Cad showed 27 calls generated. Officers filed 2 incident reports, 3 traffic crashes, and had 5 arrests. Officer Herrick worked a traffic crash with injuries at 1181 S. Jefferson Ave. EMS transported two occupants of the vehicles to the ER. One driver was issued a citation for failure to yield and also citation in lieu of continued custody for driving on a suspended license.

Saturday third shift

CAD showed 31 entries at the time of this report. Officer Lazcos made a juvenile arrest after responding to a call on Willow Valley Ct. He also issued a citation in lieu of continued custody after making a traffic stop at 9th and Dixie. He later obtained a DUI warrant on the driver of a vehicle that struck a utility pole on E. 10th St. Officer Ferguson arrested an individual after responding to a Disturbance call on S. Jefferson. Later, he and Officer Taylor responded to a call on S. Willow and arrested a subject for public intoxication.

Sunday first shift

The cad system showed 14 calls for service on a cold Valentines Sunday. Officers worked 3 traffic crashes and there were no other outstanding incidents to report.

Sunday second shift

Cad shows that 19 calls were generated. The shift filed 3 incident reports, 1 citation in lieu of continued custody, and 1 crash report. Officer Herrick responded to the Love Shack on Interstate Dr. A call was received that they were open for business and that violated state and local laws. After researching city ordinances and TCA, I sent Officer Herrick to the location. The business was closed. There was notification of city ordinance posted on the inside of the door. Dispatch called the complainant back to advise that the business was closed. She stated that she had called the county because they were aware of the statutes and they had already gone and shut the business down. I spoke with Deputy Larry Bennett of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Bennett stated that the business was closed when he arrived at approximately 1630 hours. Officer Lintz answered a call on 801 Winston Dr. in reference to child neglect. The complainant was the mother of the children. She was in Florida on a business trip. She stated that the father had gotten drunk and the kids were forced to walk home from Cane Creek Sportsplex. Grandparents picked the kids up near the National Guard Armory and took the children to the grandparent’s residence. DCS and CID were notified. Officer Tayes worked a single car traffic crash at Bunker Hill Rd. and West Cemetery. The crash was a roll over. Two of the occupants went to Cookeville Regional Medical Center. At time of report, Officer Tayes was at a disturbance call on Willow Ave.
