Thursday shift summaries

First shift

Officer J. Long arrested one on Rockwell Dr. serving warrant. Officer Langford responded to Dogwood Circle to investigate a disturbance involving 18 year old male refusing to help his mother and using profanity around younger siblings. Officer Green responded to a domestic complaint on E.Spring St. Apt. A domestic disturbance report was taken so the complainant could get her apartment repaired where her boyfriend had punched a hole in wall. Officer Langford took a report of a disturbance on Missouri Ave. where an adult/male was harassing the complainant, an adult/female.

Second shift

According to CAD we responded to 35 calls for service. Officers Harrington and Moore assisted Jackson Co. in a pursuit that entered our city. The suspect was taken into custody on Summerhaven @ Jere Whitson.

Third shift

Third Shift officers responded to 21 CAD entries that generated 6 adult custodial arrests and 1 incident report. It was a great night for arresting DUI drivers. Officer deClaire stopped a car at 1593 E Spring Street and arrested the driver for DUI. Later, he responded to FloServe at 1978 Foreman Drive regarding a vehicle that was driven through a security gate. He found the vehicle at the back of the parking lot stuck on top of a pile of snow and ice. The driver said she was from Cookeville, but was a long way from there now. She also claimed to have had only two beers. She was charged with DUI. Officer J. Ward stopped a car at 12th and Willow and arrested the driver for DUI. Unfortunately his BAC was over .30 and Officer Ward had to stay with him at the hospital until 0330. Officer Moore was working Safe Streets and stopped a car at 10th and Maple. He arrested the driver for DUI. He stopped another car at Boyd and Jefferson. He also arrested that driver for DUI. Officer Lazcos stop a vehicle at 4th and Buck. He arrested the driver for DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Spring responded to Carr Avenue regarding a bomb threat.
