The Cookeville Police Department responded to multiple burglaries and thefts, including:
- Willow Avenue residential burglary in which a back door was broken into by breaking the glass in the door.
- Business burglary at Genesis Career College in which petty cash was missing from the office area.
- Theft of property from Stover's on West Broad street in which a stolen electric scooter ridden by a white male with a black jacket and jeans took three Davidson ladders ($200 each) were taken. The scooter was recovered. The perpetrator was captured on video.
- Residential burglary on North Washington Avenue in which an apartment's dead bolted door was pried open and a Dell laptop, playstation 2, an HP /F4440 printer, a wooden trunk with a green frame and 20 playstation games were stolen.
- Theft of a motor vehicle at Morningside retirement home in which a truck was taken. The truck, parked with the keys left in it, was stolen while the owner was working. A coworker reported seeing two white males, one with long dark hair, leaving the parking lot. One suspect was following the stolen truck in a red utility vehicle, possibly a Samauri or a Geo Tracker. That vehicle also had a large dent in the passenger side door. The title to the truck was in the stolen vehicle along with a Mossberg .410 shotgun that was behind the seat of the truck.
