Monday first shift
Activity from Monday was steady with 30 CAD entries resulting in ten reports. Officer Langford took a theft report at Jefferson and Hwy-111. Officer Green took a vandalism report on E.Spring St. Officer Loftis took a theft report on Humble Drive. Officers Franklin & Stout responded to a domestic on Choate Cemetery Road. Officer Green took a theft report on S. Willow Ave. Officer Langford responded to an investigation report pertaining to verbal domestic and an ongoing divorce on Cliff Lane. Officer Franklin took a report at City Storage Buildings 105 Ridge dale Drive where several units were broken into sometime over the weekend. Officers also worked two property damage reports. One was at Cookeville Stone the other was at 715 E.15th. St.
Second shift
The shift was unevenly busy. CAD listed 38 events. Officers made three arrests, filed five incident reports and one crash report. Ofc Harrington filed a report after a woman came to the station to report that she was assaulted by her husband. He threatened her with a handgun at their residence on Stout Street earlier today. Ofc Harrington was unable to locate him. The handgun was not located at the residence. He then went to the clerks office and obtained an aggravated assault warrant. It was filed with dispatch. Since a child was present at the time, DCS was notified.
Third shift
CAD showed 28 entries at the time of this report. Officers filed two domestic reports, one residential burglary report and two arrest reports. The most noteworthy report is the arrest of adult/male. Officer Harrington obtained an Agg, Assault warrant on him earlier in the day. He went to the suspects residence but did not find him. Officer Harrington turned on the porch light and opened the blinds slightly before he left. We had an extra watch on the residence in hopes of finding him there. Officers Blankenship and Collier went to the residence around 0230 and noticed that the porch light was off. They knocked numerous times but got no response. They backed off and watched the residence as Sgt. Taylor and I went to the victim’s mother’s residence to obtain a key. Shortly after we left, the suspect attempted to evade by going out a rear window. Officer Blankenship quickly apprehended him. We received permission to search the residence but were unable to locate the firearm reportedly used in the earlier Agg. Assault.
Tuesday first shift
Activity from Tuesday was light with only 15 CAD entries and two reports. Neither was noteworthy. Officer Loftis responded to W.4th St. in reference to a verbal domestic report. The complainant and his girlfriend were arguing and he was wanting to leave her but she said no. Officer Langford took a theft report at Park West Dr. Someone took rocking chars and lawn furniture from front porch.
Second shift
The shift was fairly quiet. CAD listed 33 events. Officers made four arrests, filed two incident reports and one crash report. There were no remarkable events to list.
Third shift
We had 18 entries in cad which made for a slow night. We had one arrest. Officer Collier stopped a vehicle on Interstate Drive at Logan’s restaurant for having a headlight out. The driver was cited for not having insurance and her passenger was cited for simple possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
Wednesday first shift
Wednesday we had 25 CAD entries resulting in eight reports. The most noteworthy listed below. Officer Langford took a harassment complaint report at XXX West End St. involving Jaya man and his half brother. Officer Langford took a theft of property report at On The Run Mkt. on 1569 W. Broad St. where on March 10th adult/male took $80.00.worth of lottery tickets. Officer Franklin took a theft of property report at P.D. The complainant had a Glock model- 22 was taken from a residence S.Willow. Officer Hall responded to Scott Ave. in reference to a domestic between a husband and wife.
Second shift
The shift was unevenly busy. CAD listed 37 events. Officers made one arrest, filed six incident reports and one crash report. The most noteworthy events of the shift are as follows. Ofc Tayes filed a crash report involving an intoxicated driver who was injured. Since the driver was transported to the hospital, he will present evidence to the grand jury. Ofc Acuff filed an embezzlement report after management of I-Light Corporation, 1093 Volunteer Drive, reported the theft of thousands of dollars. Evidently two employees forged company checks during the last six months. Det Sgt Mathis was notified.
Third shift
Third Shift officers responded to 31 CAD entries and our dispatchers had to field an additional 13 due to a power outage. We made 1 adult custodial arrest, 1 citation in lieu of continued custody, and 3 incident reports. Officer McCurry located adult/male on E. Stevens and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Officer Reep was working a call on Autumn Avenue at the time of this report.
Thursday first shift
Officer Ward responded to Whitson Ave. & took a burglary report where a gold ladies ring was taken along with a digital camera and $20.00. in change. Total value was $680.00. Officer ward responded to P.D. to talk to the complainant about theft from his truck which was parked on N.Dixie Av. Apartments 1 taken was a S&W SIGMA .40 cal. in a black nylon holster.
Second shift
The shift was unevenly busy. CAD listed 30 events. Officers made four arrests, filed five incident reports and one crash report. The most noteworthy event of the shift is as follows. Ofc A Lintz filed a report after adult/male reported a robbery at his residence on Sycamore Street. After officers spent time on this incident (i.e. looking for the suspect, making a line-up sheet, etc.), he said that he lied about it being a robbery. He said that he called the suspect to his residence so that he could purchase some drugs. He gave him $120 and he left without giving him any drugs. Ofc Lintz charged the complainant with making a false report. Det Mathis responded to the scene.
Third shift
The following is a summary of events for Third Shift; Thursday, March 18, 2010: Third Shift officers responded to 18 CAD entries generating 1 adult custodial arrest. Officer Ferguson arrested the driver of a vehicle for DUI that he stopped at 12th and Willow
