The following is a summary of activities for Sunday, March 14, 2010.

Officer Lintz made an arrest after investigating a vandalism call at Bell Acres.  Some college kids just moved in to the brick house across from the golf course and wanted to make their presence known by doing $5,000 dollars damage to one of the greens. 
 
Officer Stout had 2 Public Intoxication arrests after making an investigation on S. Washington.  A drunk male tried to win the creative parking award by parking on the sidewalk.  When Officer Stout arrived he found the driver asleep behind the wheel and his friend sitting in the passenger seat drinking a beer.
 
According to CAD poice responded to 22 calls for service. Officers filed four accident reports, had two citations in lieu of continued custody, one adult custodial arrest and four incident reports.
 
Officer Matheney stopped adult/male on Cypress Ave and found that he has a revoked drivers license. He was given a citation in lieu of continued custody.
 
Officer Long was dispatched to Mine Lick Creek at I-40 on an accident. Officer Long made contact with the driver of the one vehicle accident. He was charged with DUI 2nd, driving on a revoked license and violation of the implied consent law.
 
Third Shift officers responded to 16 CAD entries: 2 adult custodial arrests, 1 citation in lieu of continued custody, 3 incident reports, and 1 crash report.
 
Officer Ferguson responded to Autumn Avenue apartment XXX regarding an armed robbery and shots fired. One of the two victims was hit in the head with a pistol and it then discharged. The bullet went into a wall. The second victim said he had $900.00 stolen. Detective Sgt. Gragg responded. Officer Ferguson also responded to XXX E. Stevens regarding a burglary. Someone stole a flat screen television, surround sound, and a 9mm Beretta pistol.
 
Monday Shift Summaries:
 
Activity from Monday was steady with 30 CAD entries resulting in ten reports.
 
Officer Langford took a theft report at Jefferson and Hwy-111.
 
Officer Green took a vandalism report at XXX E.Spring St.
 
Officer Loftis took a theft report on Humble Drive.
 
Officers Franklin & Stout responded to a domestic at Choate Cemetery Road # XXX.
 
Officer Green took a theft report at XXX S. Willow Ave.
 
Officer Langford responded to an investigation report pertaining to verbal domestic and an ongoing divorce at XXX Cliff Lane.  
 
Officer Franklin took a report at City Storage Buildings 105 Ridgedale Drive where several units were broken into sometime over the weekend.
 
Officers also worked two property damage reports. One was at Cookeville Stone the other was at E.15th. St.   
 
The most noteworthy report is the arrest of adult/male.  Officer Harrington obtained an Agg, Assault warrant on him earlier in the day.  He went to the suspect's residence but did not find him. 
 
Officer Harrington turned on the porch light and opened the blinds slightly before he left.  We had an extra watch on the residence in hopes of finding him there. 
 
Officers Blankenship and Collier went to the residence around 0230 and noticed that the porch light was off.  They knocked numerous times but got no response. 
 
They backed off and watched the residence as Sgt. Taylor and I went to the victim’s mother’s residence to obtain a key.  Shortly after officers left, the suspect attempted to evade by going out a rear window.  Officer Blankenship quickly apprehended him.  Officers received permission to search the residence but were unable to locate the firearm reportedly used in the earlier Agg. Assault.
