Moore, MD, Joins Staff At Cookeville Regional

Dr. Jeffrey Moore

General surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Moore has joined the staff at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He will be working with Drs. Scott Copeland, Brian Gerndt, and Jeff McCarter at Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists, located at 203 North Cedar Avenue. Middle Tennessee Surgical Specialists consists of surgeons specializing in General, Laparoscopic and Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Moore earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in General Surgery at the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University.

Dr. Moore comes from a strong tradition of medical professionals. His great grandfather, Dr. John Thomas Moore, Sr (Dr. Tom) began his practice of General Medicine and Surgery in Algood in 1899. His grandfather, Dr. John Thomas Moore, Jr (Dr. Jack) followed in his father's practice in 1951. His uncle, Dr. Lee S. Moore, began his practice in Urology in Cookeville in 1989. Dr. Moore's father is James F. Moore, CRNA, who began his practice in Nurse Anesthesia in 1979. Dr. Moore is proud to follow in this tradition of more than a century of medical service to the region.

He is joined in Cookeville by his wife Jill and their two children, Kaylin and John Thomas. They are pleased to be back in the Upper Cumberland region, and Dr. Moore looks forward to serving the medical needs of our community.
