Petrie’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning has given a donation to a local organization that offers free counseling to women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Cookeville Pregnancy Clinic was the recipient of a donation recently given by the local company. The clinic offers free services, ranging from pregnancy testing to peer counseling, to women with strict confidentiality.
“We were thrilled to get this donation,” said Nancy Knowlton, executive director of the clinic. “We have seen the need for our services really grow in the last year.”
She said they have had 2,156 client visits through mid-October this year, which is much higher than the previous year.
“They do so much good in the community,” said Randal Petrie, owner of Petrie’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, as to why the company chose this particular group for a donation.
