Baxter Clinic has been open since 1999 and is a 501c3 non profit. The clinic was remodeled after flooding last year and kept open thanks to a committed staff and volunteers.

Two doctors give of their time to serve the clinic, Dr. Kenna Williams, a surgeon who practices in this region does periodic on-site patient visits at the clinic, and Dr. Chet Gentry oversees the operations. Four nurse practioners take care of the day-to-day needs of patients These nurse practioners are Nikki Adams, Cathleen Stewart, Ann Barker, and Susan Johnson.

While the clinic does take both cash and insurance, they do provide services to anyone who needs them, funding notwithstanding. The City of Baxter owns the building and allows the clinic free usage, and helps out the clinic in other ways as well.  Also, Putnam County, seeing the need for health care for all who live in the western reaches of the county, also provide assistance. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are appreciated, and to schedule and appointment, call 931 858 2116. They are located at 319 Broad Street, Baxter, TN 38544-5117.

Again, The Baxter Clinic is  a 501c3 and all support and help is greatly appreciated.
