Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker, TV Stars of NBC’s long-running hit series “L.A. Law”

Accomplished actors Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker are perhaps best known for their portrayals of Ann Kelsey and Stuart Markowitz on NBC's long-running hit series "L.A. Law."

They will be the featured speakers at the first Cookeville Regional Women’s Conference to be held this Saturday, October 20 at the University Center at Tennessee Tech University.

The Conference is being presented by Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Open to all women throughout the Upper Cumberland region, the Women’s Conference will feature numerous sessions on various topics and women’s issues along with a fashion show, lunch, door prizes and exhibits.

Participants may also sign up for several health screenings to be provided in the morning before the Conference begins.

As keynote speakers for the event, Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker travel the country with their message, told with humor and hope, stressing breast cancer education, early detection and treatment.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 1986, Eikenberry battled the disease and now tells women her story of recovery.

She also co-produced a one-hour documentary for NBC entitled “Destined to Live,” which dealt with the emotional aspects of breast cancer, from diagnosis to recovery.

Other session topics will range from travel to menopause to exercise to gaining financial independence. In all, women will be able to choose from among thirteen topics affecting today’s women.

The cost of the conference is $25 per person and space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
