Alana Stein Crowned Queen at 2012 Basketball Homecoming at Cookeville High School

The 2012 Cookeville High School Basketball Homecoming Court included freshmen Madison Witt who is involved with HOSA and plans to become an athletic trainer. Madison was escorted by freshman Jacob Edgington who is on the Cavalier Football and Baseball Teams.

Also freshman Summer Stroud was on the court, who is on the Cavalier Volleyball and Tennis Teams as well as on the CHS Student Congress and a member of the CHS Chorus. Summer was escorted by Zack Crum, an active member of the FCA and on the Cavalier Lacrosse and Football Teams.

One court representative from the sophomore class included Sarah Nisbet who is a member of the CHS Student Congress, Interact, Test Club, Leo Club, and is on the Lady Cavalier Soccer Team. Sarah was escorted by Matt Shults, an AP Honors student.

Bethany Bray, the other sophomore is a member of Interact, Leo Club, Test Club, is president of the CHS Pep Club; is on the Charger and Yearbook staff; and is a CHS Basketball Cheerleader. Josh Groves escorted Bethany. Josh is a board member of Interact; is a member of the Beta Club, the yearbook staff; and is on the Cookeville Cavalier Track Team.

The first Junior representative was Abbie King, a member of Interact, Test Club, and Leo Club. Abbie is also active in the CHS Chorus. She was escorted by Aaron Phillips who is in the National Honor Society, Leo Club, and is treasurer for the Spanish National Honor Society.

The other junior court member was Jennalee Stevens who is in the CHS Chorus, yearbook staff, Interact, Beta Club, Key Club, and the National Honor Society. Elias Vaden escorted Jennalee, and Elias is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society, the National Honor Society and the Leo Club.

There were three on the court from the seniors class. The first was Hannah Ellis, a four-year veteran of the CHS Cross Country Team and is currently on the CHS Track Team. Hannah is active in plays; is a member of the Beta Club, Music Honor Society, and is a peer buddy.  Hannah was escorted by Matthew Weathers, a member of Mu Alpha Theta, and the Asian Appreciation Club.

Another senior on the court was Lisa Gong, a runner on the CHS Track Team, President of the National Honor Society, Vice-President of Interact, Vice-President of the Appreciation of Asian Culture Club, Secretary of Beta Club, Treasurer of the the TEST Club, and Co-captain of the CHS Academic Team. Lisa was escorted by Jacob Huffman, a percussionist int eh CHS Band, a member of the National Honor Society, French Honors Society, and is Treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta.

The third senior, Alana Stein, CHS 2012 Homecoming Queen, is on the Lady Cavs Soccer Team, is a CHS Student Congress Representative, and is Vice President of Interact. Mike Sidrys escorted Alana, and Mike is on the CHS Swim Team, Interact Club, Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society, and the Asian Appreciation Club.
