The Putnam County Fair will have such delights as Fairest of the Fair, tractor pulls, a petting zoo, lots of hot fried apple pies, and several different horse competitions.

The Cookeville Dept. of Liesure Services is hosting an evening 8K race which will start and end at the other end of the newly extended Dogwood Park over by Whitson's Funeral Home. It will start Friday at 8:58 and track over the streets in the shape of a figure 8.
