Eric Floyd Manning

Last Friday Cookeville Police Officers responded to Bank of Putnam County on E. 10th street to a subject trying to pass a forged check.

Eric Floyd Manning was at the front door when the police came and asked him to step back inside for questions.

Shortly after, the bank manager arrived and in a boisterous voice told Manning that they had been looking for him.

The bank manager explained that Mr. Manning had been cashing forged checks all over town and that there were 12 affidavits of forgery on Mr. Manning and there would be more to come.

Dispatch confirmed that Mr. Manning did have a warrant in Cumberland County with a bond of $250,000 for passing forged checks.

Manning headed out the front door and the Officer deployed his Taser hitting Manning, making him stumble.

The Officers arrested Eric Manning and served Manning with 15 warrants for forgery and fraud. Manning's bond was set at $72,000.
