Trio Goes On Spending Spree With Customer's Credit Card

Tools

The victim had used the card to pay for food at the Burger King on E. Spring Street and realized a day later that the clerk had not returned his card after his purchase.

By the next day according to the Cookeville Police Department's report, the clerk, Francis Dietz had used the card to withdraw $100 at Burger King.

Kristina Gore and Jonathon Dietz later went through the drive thru lane and presented the stolen card and attempted to withdraw $200 cash from the registers but the on duty manager declined to give them any money and pulled the receipt from the earlier $100 transaction that was signed off by Kristina Gore and pinned it to the office wall for further investigation.

Then the three went on a spending spree, according to the report, the trio went to Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Rugged Warehouse and several other locations.

All three were caught up with and arrested and transported to the county Jail and booked and held pending $5000 bail.

Receipts were obtained from the stores and Ms. Gore told the Police of the role of the other 2 suspects in the crime.

The card was not recovered, so when you ask a store if they take credit cards, don't forget to ask if they give them back.
