(In the picture) Eddie Lee Dunlap age 34 of Cookeville was arrested after being warned by Cookeville Police Officers to discontinue talking to an Officer of the Law inappropriately. According to the report Dunlap called the Officer "Captain Ahab" as well as freely using profanity to address the Officer. When Dunlap arrived at the Putnam County Sheriff's Department Officers reported having to Tase stun Dunlap to get him processed and during which time one of the Officers got stunned in the scuffle. Dunlap was charged with 2 counts of Simple Assault and 2 counts of Assault. Dunlap's bond was set and $1000 each.  

Sullivan Smith is suspected for Shoplifting at JC Penny's on Dubois road. Store security reported a white male came into the store and took several items of clothing and ran out, driving away in a black Saab and provided Police with the tag number.

Tonya Dawn Kinnaird age 35 of Cookeville was cited for taking a pair of Underwear Shorts at Sears without paying for them. She was escorted off Sears property and warned not to be back or she would go to jail for criminal trespassing.

Adria Lee Hampton age 27 of Cookeville was cited for driving on suspended or revoked license at E.10th Street and Fisk road where Cookeville Police were investigating a road rage incident.

Randall Fulton age 44 of Cookeville was cited twice for driving on suspended or revoked license. The Officer had given Mr. Fulton a citation earlier in the day for driving on suspended and later Mr. Fulton was caught driving again. His vehicle was left at the scene and a cab was called.

No suspects in an Aggravated Assault with a Weapon on N. Chestnut Avenue. Cookeville Police responded to investigate where a resident complained that he was walking home around 1:30am and two younger white males attacked him and started hitting him with an unknown weapon. He also stated that the attack was unprovoked and he was unable to fight back. The victim was taken to the hospital for severe head lacerations.

Putnam County Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 70 East between Shady Lane and sheep Bluff in reference to a person falling into a cave. EMS was already there and was able to pull Mr. Boon up from the Cave. Mr. Boon was transported to CRMC.
