(In the picture) Luis Felipe Garcia age 23 was residing on N. Dixie in Cookeville when Officers were dispatched to N. Dixie and 17th Street regarding a domestic disturbance situation between Mr. Garcia and another. During a records check, Officers found that Mr. Garcia was wanted out of FL on a Violation of probation for Grand Theft Auto. Garcia was arrested and is now awaiting extradition. (In the picture) Kelly Cedric Thrift age 18 of Cookeville along with a Minor was charged with Joyriding on W. Broad after an Officer observed the two on a John Deer Gator. Thrift stated that he found the Gator stuck beside the railroad tracks near the golf course. The Gator was towed. Cookeville Police arrested a Minor after observing him standing next to some fresh gang graffiti on Proffitt Street and Jefferson. Two cans of paint were retrieved from the pocket of the subject and he was then transported to Juvenile Detention. Another victim of Purse Snatching was reported at Walmart on S. Jefferson last week. The victim stated that she left her purse in the cart near the dairy aisle while she went to another aisle to get something.
