On Thursday, January 8, the New Highlands Visitor Center will open its physical doors with a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. 

Located just off 1-40 at Exit 287 on 470A Neal Street across from the Cookeville Mall, the new center is designed to attract and orient visitors and newcomers to the areas many sites and experiences. 

The ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. with festivities continuing throughout the day.  The public is invited to explore this new facility.

The on-line version of the facility, called MustSeeCookeville is up and operational as well.
