Young people often hear older folks say, "Why back in the day, when I was a youngster, and we had to walk to school barefoot in snow and barbwire up hill both ways.... ahem... now where was I... oh yeh... Halloween...that's it!  Halloween.

Why the way we'd go trick-or-treatin' when I was a youngster... we'd go by ourselves... up and down the road with a paper sack from the grocery store and hope that we could get it filled up and back home before the bottom fell out."

Times are changing...

Halloween has reshaped into a family event with whole families dressing up and just going out and playing for a night.

With the streets blocked off, and store vendors out front passing out candy, and families talking, laughing and staring in amazement at the kaliedescope of color in the costumes, the evening has morphed into a whole new entity.

The air buzzed with congeniality, fun, and good time.
