Cookeville High School is one of 51 winners from around the country in the Friday Night Feats national video contest on YouTube highlighting the biggest moments from this year’s high school football season.

The video, featuring the Cookeville High School Cavaliers (Cookeville, TN) and Giles County Bobcats in their August 21, 2009 match-up, features Cookeville capping a 4 play, 78 yard drive with a 35 yard touchdown reception with 3.4 seconds on the clock to win the game.

The featured event wrapped up a very dynamic 4th quarter in which the lead changed hands 5 times and demonstrates a 'Never give up' attitude on the part of both teams.

During the 2007 high school football season, State Farm awarded $25,000 among 3 schools in their Friday Night Feats video contest.

CHS won a first place prize and $7,500 in that contest, with the submitted video.

The 2007 video by "AdrenalineMP" featured CHS vs. Knoxville Central on August 24, 2007.  According to the information on the video:  "Knoxville is winning 14-11 but is forced to punt with only 40 sec remaining in the game. Cookeville's #22 (Griggs) returns the punt 69 yards for the game winning touchdown."

This year, the cash prizes were up to $160,000, and 51 schools across the U.S. and Canada were selected as winners.

Selected for the 2009 video, the Cookeville High School football team and school representatives were presented a check for $2,500 by State Farm agents.
