Dr. Purgiel Joins Cookeville Regional

Dr. Purgiel's office is located at the hospital inside the West Entrance on Hickory Avenue along with Drs. Mark Pierce and Bernadette Hee.

Dr. Purgiel finished his General Surgery Residency at the Metro Health/Michigan State University COGMET in Grand Rapids.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing and he is board certified in General Surgery.

Prior to coming to Cookeville Regional, Dr. Purgiel had a solo practice located in Caledonia, Michigan where he specialized in breast, hernia, chronic wound care and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Purgiel knows surgery can be frightening, but he enjoys spending the time necessary with his patients to earn their trust and ease their fears.

Dr. Purgiel will soon be joined in Cookeville by his wife Nacole and their four sons. He is now accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Purgiel, call 931-520-8320.
