Teen Death Saddens Monterey High School

The unexpected death of 16 year old Jonathan David Fox this morning in Monterey, Tennessee shook classmates and the community.

Hilltop Express publisher Dale Welch remembers the popular teen as having won several awards over the past few years and having been involved in Scouting activities.  "It's such a loss."  said Welch.

Students at Monterey High reportedly recieved grief counseling today, as leaders quietly tried to provide consolation in light of this difficult news. 

Services at Goff funeral home will be Thursday, August 26 at 7 p.m.  

Rev. Johnny Bowman Will Officiate.

Jonathan David Was Born July 6, 1994, In McAllen, Texas and died at his home in Monterey on Tuesday, August 24, 2010.

An honor student and junior at Monterey High, he was sergeant-in-arms in the MHS Nerd Club, an active participant in the engineering design club, winner of first place in the science fair at TTU and had attended Leadership Putnam Youth Academy.  

David is survived by his parents, Thurman and Fleeta Anderson Fox of Monterey and one sister, Elizabeth Vazquez of Orlando and one brother, Jonathan Dale Swift of Orlando.   The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. at Goff funeral home.

david will and and is missed very much..i pray for his family everyday...i was one off davids friends and i think about him everyday and pray..he is extremely missed till this day :( I MISS YOU DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!
