This two-story, several thousand square foot facility shines with the revamping and remodeling done to better serve the residents of Putnam County.

There are now 13 windows to be served making one's time in the office minimal.  The building, formerly the Public Health Building, is equipped with both ramp and elevator to fully comply with the legal requirements of serving the handicapped.

With the exponential growth of not only population, but associated paperwork to keep up with the populace, the extra room provides ample storage where the documents can be kept neat and organized.

Putnam County Clerk, Wayne Nabors commented, "When we were moving, we pulled so much stuff out of the old offices, that when I looked around at the empty rooms, I couldn't figure out where we'd been keeping it all.  We were just that packed."

Also noteworthy is the new drive-through facility, where one has plenty of room to loop around the parking lot without having to stage for a drivethrough while blocking cars on in the lot or out on the street somewhere.

All in all, the new Putnam County Clerk facilities can be source of pride for the community and facilitate excellent service for the residents of this growing Highland, Upper Cumberland region.
