If you are among the thousands of people driving up and down Jefferson Avenue, you have probably noticed the activity surrounding the buildings of Landmark Square. (Old Redcap location, 580 South Jefferson) This activity is the result of a lease contract from the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency. (UCHRA)  Beginning in September, all UCHRA offices in Putnam County will be relocating to Landmark Square.

“This is an extremely important move for the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency and all of the offices involved.” Stated Phyllis Bennett, UCHRA’s Executive Director. “With all of our offices in the same building, we will be able to better coordinate our services and communications.  We will attempt to make this relocation with as little disruption to those services as possible.”
The tentative September move involves: Tennessee Department of Labor; the UCHRA Putnam County office; the Tennessee Career Center at Cookeville; The UCHRA Central Office.

Tony Smith, UCHRA’s General Services Assistant Director, who has overseen the moving project, commented, “There will be no disruption in phone services for any of the offices.  People needing any of our services may continue to call our main office numbers.”
Bennett also stated, “This location will give easier access and more visibility to the UCHRA. We will continue to “Deliver Hope” to the Upper Cumberland region. Our location may be changing, but not our purpose or mission.”
