Liquor On November Ballot

Tools

By Andrew Steele

The election commission meeting this morning had three items of business.

First they decided to put Algood's liquor by the drink referendum on the ballet for November.

Second, the commission decided to put Cookeville's liquor packaging store referendum on the ballot.   If voted in, the vote would make packaged liquor stores legal inside the Cookeville city limits.

The commission decided to have a special called meeting September 14th in order to facilitate a resolution to the Financial act of 1981 on the November ballot.
