HELPFUL HINTS For Your Organization Presentation:
The purpose of the Organization Study Analysis and Presentation is to bring to life the company of your choice and your recommendation for employee development. You will work in a self managed team. You will become a team of consultants focused on employee development and leadership. You are asked to perform the following activities:
1. Choose a company that you will analyze. You will visit the company and conduct research and a needs analysis using the the Four Frames and Strength and Opportunity analysis discussed in class. The final deliverable will be A FOUR BY TWO ANALYSIS with Focus on Employee Development opportunities for your company today or in the future.
Based on your analysis, you will create a presentation. Align your topic and presentation to the findings of your analysis. For example, based on your needs analysis you find that mid level managers in the company would benefit from training in "becoming a coach" to their employees. You would present you company analysis using the 4 by 2 model and bring to life "coaching" for the targeted audience.

As the presenting group, based on the company you have chosen and your research, you will choose a key area of employee development and BRING IT ALIVE TO THE CLASS.

The Class will become the company employees. You will share your company analysis with us and your employee development opportunity in an engaging, creative manner.
So, based on your analysis decide on the functional area and the population you will present to -- Incorporate demographic data for your population.
Helpful Hints: Remember that the research and needs of the company you have chosen should DRIVE the Key area of development you choose. Thus, do your research first. Learn about your company. Then decide on the area you will present.
In this assignment you are a self managed team. Exchange phone numbers and schedules. Discuss what skill sets exist in the group (i.e., presentation skills, research skills, writing skills, technology skills, etc.)
Remember: This is a team project simulating real life conditions of a consultant. All members of the group will receive the same grade, which presents team-based dynamics in consulting organizations. You may want to discuss how you will handle team behavior that is dysfunctional to the group's overall performance. The instructor will not become involved in group issues.
Discuss your core competencies. Discuss each individual’s strengths and development needs. Understand your group composite and build on your strengths. Create roles to support your strengths and also develop your "soft" spots.
Be creative in your presentation planning...Incorporate case studies, secondary and primary research. Use multi- media to engage your audience. How will you use food, music, the larger environment in your presentation? How will you adapt for global participants?
4. You are asked to create a needs analysis and series of questions you will ask the organization. You are to use the 4 by 2 model of the four frames and STRENGTHS and OPPORTUNITIES Analysis with focus on HR and employee development. You will create a series of questions before you visit the company. You may want to email the questions to your contact before the visit. Administer the needs analysis to your organization and follow up with them sharing your presentation PPT's and Final Paper.
PAPER: An academic paper describing the employee development opportunity you have chosen. You will also want to provide company background a summary of the 4 by 2 analysis.
Follow APA guidelines 10 pages not including exhibits.
