This month, the United States Census Bureau will begin mailing out the 2010 census forms to area residents. The information obtained from census forms will remain confidential, and is used to show a need for funding of local services like schools, emergency services, public health, and roadway maintenance projects.

The 2010 form is a 10 question survey that asks citizens to answer information regarding their household. Contained within the census packet is a postage-paid return address envelope so that there is no cost to citizens for providing this information.

"We want citizens to understand this is something which is vital to our state and federal funding for many of the services people count on daily." Stated Randy Porter, 2010 Census Committee Chairman.

Census forms will begin arriving to area residents this week, and will continues throughout the month of March. One form is mailed to each residence, and should be completed by one member of the household. Residents who do not return forms by April 1st will be visited by a Census Bureau employee to assist you in any way necessary to complete the form.
