Putnam County Commission Meets In Cookeville

The County Commission meeting began with a referendum honoring recently deceased, County Historian, Maureen Ensor Patton, presented by Kim Blaylock, County Executive.

Then some budget amendments for the Putnam County School funds were voted on and approved.

An amendment for the Putnam County general fund was voted on and passed.

Then $20,000 for the Monterey Senior Citizens Center was voted on and approved to the delight of several attending residents.

There was 100% approval on all nominees to the works committees and unanomous approval on the election of notaries.

Then Kim Blaylock re-took the podium to nominate Dale Welch as Ms. Patton's successor, and Mr. Jacquess will be geneaologist.

This also passed with unanomous vote as did the final motion to adjourn.
