VICTIMS OF CRIME TAKE NOTE--SCORE ONE FOR THEM

Tools

By Steve Moore

In 1995 Tennessee was the 10th most violent crime state. In ten years, we moved up to second place.

Some felons can be out after serving 30% of their sentence. What a black eye for us!

Just what do we think these violent offenders do while they are locked up for the two to three years they serve. I'll wager that they learn more lessons on how to become more violent from their prison peers. People like David Springer have no qualms about terrorizing peaceful law-abiding citizens.

Five victims in 36 hours. He should never see daylight again...ever. Leniency is handcuffing the criminal justice system. It needs to stop.

A 15-year old rapist was ordered into treatment, and that's the right approach according to Ms. Freeman with yet another alphabet organization that caters to these monsters who would prey on others.

They are considered to be at a tender age, so we as a society ought not put them on the sex registry--it might harm them--for 25 years.

Well, hogwash.

I agree with Rep. Maggart when she says that if you have raped a child you don't deserve a second chance. These violent teens are certainly street smart, calculating menaces who know exactly what they are doing.

Society deserves to know who they are. Once again the victims have very few rights. All concern is directed toward the offender.

As Jack Lord's character on Hawaii Five-O said: "Book 'em, Dan-o. I say "list 'em, Tennessee."
