U.S. Supreme Court

By Don Schwarz

Letter to the Editor,

RE: Steve Moore and the Second Amendment.

"But no instance can be found where a civil action has
been sustained against him [ sheriff ] for his default or
misbehavior as conservator of the peace by those who
have suffered injury to their property or persons through
the violence of mobs, riots, or insurrections." @ pg 403.
-- [South vs Maryland, 59 US 396, 1855]

And so in 1855, the US Supreme Court ruled, that NO ONE
has an expectation of safety or protection from the sheriff
of a county, or any public servant!

You cannot sue the police if you are a victim of crime
and the police could have stopped the criminal!

Every American is responsible for their own safety and
the police, a legal fiction, have no constitutional
obligation to protect anyone or anything.

Police, being legal fictions, do not have to protect your rights.

SOUTH is only 7 pages long but it will tell you clearly,
that the Second Amendment is about you being able
to protect yourself, and not about the Framers forgetting
to arm the militia.

Tell me, should there be other amendments arming
the Army with guns and the Navy with ships?

Why does a certain political party believe in high
taxes and disarmed citizens?

Not that many years ago, the high schools had
"Corp of Cadets" armed by the schools!

Here in Massachusetts, thousands of armed Cadets
would form up on Boston Common to be reviewed by the Governor.

My Dad was Captain of Cadets at Commerce High in Boston
in the 20's.

With all these armed Cadets going to shooting events all over
Boston, there are no articles or reports of these Cadets
committing massacres with their school issued military
firearms.

Disarmed and defenseless always leads to death.

Steve Moore, can you come up here to Massachusetts
and educate the ignorant majority, political party
that runs this state and turn back the corruption
that has so disarmed Massachusetts, that fewer
than 4% of lawful Americans have been able to buy
the defective, $100 Massachusetts gun permission
permit?

Yes, folk, the Massachusetts $100 gun permit is so
defective, that in 2003 BATFE sent out warning letters
to all us Federal Firearm Licensees telling us the
license cannot be used as a NICS check as the
Mass. gun permit is so defective and does not meet
minimum federal standards!

Please don't let this happen in your state.

Great column Steve Moore.
