Moore To The Point-DUI Offenders

70 down, 90 to go. These highway menaces to life and limb will no doubt continue to drive.

They have nothing but contempt for the law.

Some were upset, poor babies--waa, waa.

Now, when they are caught, they will be sent to prison for up to two years as Class E felons.

They should serve every day of the maximum sentence. 8th offense DUI is eight too many. $10,000 bail is way too low.

No bail would be better. Let's put 'em so far back in prison that they have to pipe daylight into 'em.

Thank you, General York and Judge Maddux

Recently a driver was arrested for 8th offense DUI plus multiple arrests for driving on a suspended license.

What was he doing out of prison?  He should have been classified as a habitual felon a long time ago.

As a society we are way too lenient on habitual driving offenders.

They should be sent to prison and charged room and board for every day they serve.

Highway deaths resulting from these habitual offenders being behind the wheel of a lethal weapon are off the charts, yet we tolerate them.

Two years isn't anywhere enough for these low lifes, but, it's all the law allows.

I guess we'll have to be satisfied with the fact that they're behind bars.  Personally, I'd go for five years.

Perhaps there will be a continued crackdown on these habitual offenders who have absolutely no regard for other lives.
Lock 'em up for a long, long time.

Get 'em off the roads, and make them work while they're locked up. No mercy--they showed none for us.

And, by the way, how come these multiple DUI offenders get such a low bail?  That wrong-way woman on the Taconic Parkway in New York who killed eight people was drunk and high.  Her blood alcohol level was two times the legal limit.

Eight people!
