Putnam County Schools have released the school calendar for 2008-09.

School has resumed in Putnam County.

The schools will have two days of county wide in-service with no students on the two election days that fall within the calendar this term.

August 7 is the mostly city/county elections in which no classes will be held and the same for the general election on November 4th.

Classes will be dismissed for Labor Day on Monday, September 1st.

Fall break this year will be October 6-17.

Thanksgiving break will be November 26-28 and Christmas or Winter Break December 22 through January 2, 2009.

Schools will be closed for a holiday on Monday January 19 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and February 16 for President's Day.

Spring Break will be March 16-27.

Other holidays with no school are Good Friday on April 10th and Memorial Day on May 25th.

The last day of school will be on Saturday May 30th at 10am.
