Joe Proctor State Champion--CHS Wrestling

Tools

By Bill Ferral and George and Danita Henry

It was a spectator nail-biter Saturday night as Cookeville High’s Joe Proctor, fought his way  into triple overtime to beat his opponent from Pigeon Forge by one mere point earned by an escape at the State Championship match held in Franklin, Tennessee.

That made Proctor’s  season a perfect 44 and 0.

Team mate Joey Salada powered his way into  2nd place in the state

And team mate John Birdwell finished with a respectable  5th in the state.

Thanks for reports from George and Danita Henry.
