The GP West Invitational Wrestling Tournament held at Brentwood High School celebrated its 41st year this January 15 and 16th.
The Cookeville Wrestling Squad attended and here’s how they performed:
Glen Shoemake went 0-2 did not place
Jacob Wheeler went 0-2 did not place
Taylor Frye went 0-2 did not place
Dalton Satterfield went 3-2 and placed 5th
John Birdwell went 2-1; put out of tournament for injury
Sean Bowling went 3-2 placed 4th
Beau Wynn went 1-2 did not place
Ethan Henry went 5-1 placed 3rd
Joseph Proctor went 4-0 placed 1st
John Salada went 3-1 placed 2nd
Ben Toline went 0-2 did not place
Jessie Chapman went 2-2 placed 4th
Here are the points of the high school teams present at the tourney. Cookeville came in 5th place out of 23 teams from all over Middle Tennessee and one from Kentucky.
